Allianz partner Royal Netherlands Watersports Association and Sailing World Cup

Allianz Benelux and The Royal Netherlands Watersports Association agreed on a partnership for the next eight years. Allianz supports the The Royal Netherlands Watersports Association in its mission to let Dutch people sail safely, successfully and with pleasure, now and in the future. In addition, Allianz has become the main sponsor of the Youth Sailing World Championships 2022 and the Sailing World Championships 2023 in The Hague, and the annual Allianz Regatta, formerly known as the Medemblik Regatta. The events are also the reason TIG Sports is a partner in the agreement. The broad partnership in water sports is in line with Allianz’s goal – ‘We secure your future’. It also complements Allianz’s global partnership with the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Olympic & Paralympic Partnership

Allianz has been supporting the International Paralympic Committee since 2006 and on 11 January 2021 launched the global partnership of the Olympic and Paralympic Games for the period 2021-2028. With this too, Allianz wants to work on a better and inclusive world through sport on the basis of the Olympic and Paralympic vision.

Arno van Gerven, Director of The Royal Netherlands Watersports Association: “We are extremely proud that in Allianz we have found a world-class partner who will commit to us for no less than eight years. An exceptional moment which, as far as I am concerned, marks the future. Together with our clubs we can continue to pursue our ambitions. That means remaining the best sailing country and inspiring the youth with everything the water has to offer. In this way we want to win the next generation for our sport and our clubs in particular.
